Why do pipes leak?
Copper pipes in this and other areas seem to have a problem with leaking due to pinholes forming. These start out as tiny holes that may only drip occasionally but develop into large leaks wasting many thousands of gallons of water. We usually will get a call because the client has a high water bill or they have wet carpet, water damage or flooding inside their home or business. Other piping materials may also leak due to various reasons.
Sometimes drain pipes may leak as well or become damaged and allow sewer gas odors in to the building or moisture and water. These odors can come and go with some days being terrible and some days none at all. We have special equipment to locate these leaks that are usually hidden behind walls or in ceilings.
